ORLANDO, Fla. (February 25, 2008) –AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced plans to begin service to San Antonio, Texas on June 11, 2008. With San Antonio as the airline’s 58th destination, the expanding low-fare carrier will offer four roundtrip nonstop flights between San Antonio International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  The route will be served by AirTran Airways’ popular Boeing 717-200 aircraft, which seats 117 passengers (12 in Business Class and 105 in coach).
