AirTran Airways Announces New Flights from Lexington, KY, to Florida
ORLANDO, Fla. (October 21, 2009) – AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced that the airline will begin nonstop service between Lexington, KY , and popular vacation destinations Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando, beginning February 11, 2010.
“With winter just around the corner, there couldn’t be a better time to offer Lexington travelers low fares on nonstop flights to Florida,” said Kevin Healy, senior vice president, marketing and planning for AirTran Airways. “We continue to search for new opportunities to enhance our route network, and this new service in Lexington will benefit both our airline and residents of the Bluegrass state.”
