What changed?

Beginning Wednesday, November 20, 2013, customers may use small portable electronic devices (PED) such as an e-reader, tablet or MP3 player to read a book, play a built-in game or listen to their personal music during all phases of flight. Laptops and devices larger than a tablet must be stowed during taxi, takeoff and landing.

Medical devices including the following items may continue to be used during all phases of flight: hearing aids, heart monitors, heart pacemakers and other implanted medical devices, insulin pumps, nebulizers/vaporizers, approved portable oxygen concentrators, approved respirators/ventilators and approved CPAP machines.
