AirTran Airways Announces New Service to Allentown/Bethlehem, Pa., from
Two Florida Cities

ORLANDO, Fla. (April 9, 2009) – AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced plans to begin service in Allentown/Bethlehem, Pa., effective June 25, 2009. The low-cost carrier will offer roundtrip nonstop flights between Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown/Bethlehem, Pa., and both Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Fla., and Ft. Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

With the addition of Allentown/Bethlehem, AirTran Airways will provide service to 62 destinations nationwide, including 35 nonstop cities from Orlando.

*All fares are one-way. Introductory sale fare is non-refundable, and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase plus any applicable increase in airfare. Introductory sale fares must be purchased by April 30, 2009 and travel must be completed by July 30, 2009. A first bag may be checked for a fee of up to $15 per person and a second bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $15.00 per person.
